In April 2005, Brad Blasing, of Network Computing Services, Inc, in Minneapolis Minnesota (formerly Minnesota Supercomputer Center) paid the DigiBarn a visit to tell the story of the Cray Q2 "single quad" (a prototype for the Cray 2) and the Cray 1 supercomputer. We are grateful to Brad for these valuable oral histories of this rare and previously little documented Cray and of his experience with Cray systems in general.
